Last Friday was our summer intern, John Crain's last day with e9digital. To say that we will miss his energy, curiosity and ever-improving front-end web development skills is an understatement.
After spending several months in Manhattan helping us launch a series of excellent websites (and checking out the local skateparks), John's headed back to his hometown to pursue his Master's degree in Computational Science at San Diego State University.
John set the bar pretty high for future e9 interns–or employees in general, for that matter: With his science background (BS in Civil Engineering) and obvious love of technology, he was able to soak up the Haml, Sass and other skills and knowlege our lead programmer imparted. And with his west coast charm and dreams of one day starting his own business, he thrived at the 6 AM entrepreneurs' networking group (BNI) that our CEO introduced him to.
When asked what he learned with us, he replied: "How to implement and leverage the power of templating languages for web development. The importance of branding and SEO…"
And, what we learned from him is that our future is looking great if there are more John Crain's out there across America...
Keep crushing it, John!
